     AWISCO will hold its annual Women in Science Day on Friday, April 7 at the Ohio State University. The main event this year is "MIZ WIZARD Science Secrets", a presentation by historian Jane Curry, including audiovisual representations of women scientists, Novel Prize winners and inventors over the centuries. Marvel at Miz Wizard's demonstrations of physical and chemical principles. This presentation will follow the lunch provided to all participants at the Ohio Union West Ballroom at 12:00 noon. You are all invited!

Who?
Jane Curry, Ph.D, author, storyteller and performer will make a keynote presentation entitled: MIZ WIZARD's Science Secrets.

Professional scientists will offer workshops, demonstrations or tours to students in grades 7th, 8th or 9th in Central Ohio schools. See list below on the registration form.

What?
Students in grades 7-9 and their teachers are invited to attend the activities at the Ohio State University.

Why?
These activities are designed to stimulate interest in science, math and research and careers based on science.

When?
Friday, April 7, 2000
Workshops: 9:00 and 10:30 am
Keynote presentation: 1:00 pm

How much?
There is no charge to participate. Students must register through their teachers. Due to limited capacity we can only accept a maximum of 20 students per school.

Parking
Park in the Ohio Union Garage, immediately north of the Ohio Union, which is accesible from North High Street or from College Road. Additional parking is available in Arps Hall garage, 2 blocks north. The full day parking rate for the conference is $4.00 per vehicle.
Buses should discharge passengers on College Road or on W.12th Avenue. Buses may park at no charge on the West Campus.

Lunch
A light lunch will be provided to all participants at no cost.
